Wi-Fi and Thermostat

Pleasant Cottage is equipped with high speed Wi-Fi. The network and password information can be found on a wooden clipboard hung beside the thermostat just as you enter the living room from outside. This thermostat controls the heat only, please feel free to adjust it to your comfort. There is no central a/c at Pleasant Cottage, but in the summer months there are window units installed in the bedrooms and living room that you may adjust.

Living Room Television

The TV in the living room is a Roku smart TV and is equipped with a Chromecast device. You can cast programming from a streaming service app on your phone or Chrome web browser, or log into any streaming service with your own credentials - be sure to log out when you leave.

The remote can be found on the TV table.

To use the Chromecast, turn on the TV and navigate to the Chromecast icon at the top left of the Home screen - a triangle inside a circle above the word "Chromecast." Connect your mobile device to the Pleasant Cottage Wifi, and look for the Chromecast icon - a rectangle with radio signals at the bottom left. Select "Living Room TV" to connect to the appropriate TV.

Bedroom Televisions

The TVs in the bedrooms are Amazon Fire smart TVs and are equipped with Chromecast capability. You can cast programming from a streaming service app on your phone or Chrome web browser, or log into any streaming service with your own credentials - be sure to log out when you leave.

The remote can be found on the dresser in each bedroom.

To use the Chromecast, turn on the TV. Connect your mobile device to the Pleasant Cottage Wifi, and look for the Chromecast icon - a rectangle with radio signals at the bottom left. Select "Blue Bedroom Chromecast" or "Pink Bedroom Chromecast" to connect to the appropriate TV.
